David Gassman – Creative Director

Permanently residing on the corner of art and commerce.

David is a marketing Creative Director with over 20 years of experience, having led advertising and creative marketing for major brands including Kraft, Qwest Telecom, Kirin Beer, SC Johnson, and many others. David has also held senior creative positions at notable creative advertising agencies including TBWA\Chiat\Day, Deutsch, Houston Effler, Foote Cone and Belding, McCabe & Company, and Secret Weapon Marketing (where he created and produced over 100 TV, radio, digital and POS ads for Jack in the Box).

Most recently, David helped two start-up fast-casual restaurant chains with their launches, creating their entire marketing plans including brand strategy, voice, branding, store design, advertising, digital and social presence, and a whole bunch of other ideas that keep customers lining up.

David holds a BFA from Parsons School of Design and an MS in Communication Strategy from Northwestern University. Joanne O’Brien – Managing Director

Problem solver. Brand strategist. Happy hour all-star.

Joanne has spent over 25 years creating communication solutions by finding narratives in the data and turning brand values into stories. Joanne’s most recent project included launching XQ Institute – a non-profit funded by Laurene Powell Jobs – to re-imagine and re-design public high school in the United States. Prior to that, Joanne worked at Secret Weapon Marketing where, for 14 years, she led the long-term brand strategy for the $100 million Jack in the Box business. During her time on Jack in the Box, company sales and stock price reached all-time highs, garnering her team 10 Effie Awards. Joanne has worked for world-class creative agencies like TBWA\Chiat\Day and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners on brands including Nike, Luna Grill, Dreyer’s, Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Alaska Airlines, and Cannondale Bicycles.

Joanne is originally from Massachusetts, but has worked diligently to lose the accent. She currently lives in Santa Monica, CA with her husband, two children and a very clumsy Old English Sheepdog.

Jerry Collins and David Koechner

From the ‘And now for something completely different’ school of comedy.

Jerry and David have been working together ever since they met on Saturday Night Live. As a team and independently they’ve created famous comedy, including pieces with Bill Murray, Will Ferrell, Molly Shannon, Steven Colbert, Steve Carell, and many others. Jerry and David also produce corporate entertainment through their company, Power Nap Productions.

John Matta and David Rygalski

John and Dave are a writing team who excel at sketch and joke writing. John is a variety/sketch TV pro having put hilarious words in the mouths of Martin Short, Andy Dick, Steve Harvey, and Jamie Kennedy.
Dave is a late night TV pro and an alum writer, director and producer of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with David Letterman.

Drew and Tamara are a husband and wife directing and writing team. Drew was the first director at Funny or Die, having directed ‘The Landlord’ with Will Ferrell, arguably the most famous viral video in history. Tamara is well-known in the theater world, and recognized by Second City for her influential writing and performing. Together, they’ve created content for major brands including Nike, Post, MSN, Whole Foods, and Delta.

Johanna is a comedy writer and columnist who has developed her own network shows, and authored a bestselling book. Suzanne is a director and producer for Ellen, and is an established comedy and commercial director. Together, They’re currently in production on a web-series for Warner Brothers based upon Momhead.
